About the GNBR

The Great Northern Bikepacking Route is a 14,000 km, primarily off road, coast to coast cycling route that spans from Victoria, British Columbia to St. John's Newfoundland.

The route, which was officially launched in 2024, is the brainchild of Waterloo's Matthew Kadey, incorporates some pre-existing Canadian dirt touring routes and is currently one of the longest, contiguous bikepacking routes in the world.

Mat & Ali will be attempting to become the first people ever, to ride the entire GNBR in May 2024.
